A gloriously warm summer evening with 17 riders out in 3 groups. Tonight we had a medium, a slow and an extra slow group. The medium group suffered with the curse of Matt’s front wheel. The slow group had light issues which helped Sara beat Nick up the hill. The very slow also had light issues and new rider Glyn had a slow motion dismount… Then back to the Dead Poets for refreshments which we enjoyed whilst sat outside.

(note to self, do not take group selfies while squinting at sun and apols to people cut out of group shot) A very pleasant morning ride out and round to Blue Lagoon cafe. 11 riders split into "medium" and "leisure" groups, and the weather stayed largely good. Medium lot were leaving cafe by time 2nd lot got there! And of course the chance to test cafe legs on the hill climb back up from Blue Lagoon. Thanks for a nice ride everyone 🙂

Saturday inters ride to Tissington and the other group went to Ilam. So 5 regulars set out with a new member Charles. Bit wet the first half, lots of traffic around this morning. Great cafe stop and my beans on toast was spot on. Bit windy on the way back but most enjoyable. Charles survived his first club ride and is already looking forward to next week.

Great to have 6 riders on the local loop! Planning an away day next Thursday😀

Four becomes five... 4 of us started from Triangle (apols for camera flap getting in photo) heading eastwards and then joined by Andy W at the very friendly Dale Abbey Windmill cafe. Despite him not being in regulation club kit, we allowed Andy to ride back with us and amazingly didn't get rained on at all. Nice easy route and good company 🙂

6 riders on the main Saturday ride with 4 on the slightly easier inters ride. The weather started glorious but as forecast we encountered several showers some of them quite heavy. Just when we thought we were going to get to the cafe at Wetton Tea Rooms in the dry we discovered the cafe was closed. The inters group headed to the post office at Hartington with one Sat group heading to Wetton Mill and another to Hulme End. A great but hard day out with great company.

Great ride today with Shaun and Andre. Some new climbs (for me) on return from Hassop Station over back of Bakewell and down to Haddon Hall. Couple of tough climbs but made for wonderful views.
