Perfect day for a social group of 5 gravel ride, av. 23degC. Nice to see Dave M out, carrying an injury but going well👍 Sheltered outbound, with a bit of a headwind back NW 14-19kph…but nice surfaced trails and cycleways to up the pace 😅

We started with Ash Mistry who quickly morphed into his alter ego ‘Crash Mistry’. Six became five. Warm welcome to new rider Sam who was throwing it down Jackson’s even though it was his first time there. A great evening, but hampered by an early jump crash. big love to our brother. #belperbc

Eleven out tonight on a, sun-dappled calf-stretching ride along Long Way Bank, Drum Hill, and other lumpy bits splitting into 2 groups. Doug forced out by a gash in tubeless tyre, Steve and Martin in competitive mode, otherwise incident-free and pleasant ride!

Eleven riders split over two groups on today’s Sunday social ride, some welcome cloud cover and a nice breeze made for decent riding conditions. Great to catch-up with friends and meet some new riders (well several new to me). Nice cafe stop at the Potting shed near Markeaton Park. A little re-route via Quarndon on the final leg due to the bridge closure in Darley Abbey. See you again soon!

Poor Lindsay was the only inters rider but joined the faster group on the way back from the cafe. No one left behind #belperbc

Great 6 up ride out to Southwell via the new bridge over the Trent at LadyBay. New cafe ‘Tina’s’ on Colwick industrial estate. Nice ride by Trent up to Southwell GC for a great cafe stop. New trails around Southwell and Hallaughton which were fantastic. Back via Blidworth and Hucknall. Great day out on the bike and worth getting up a couple of hours early 😀
