Friday gravel gang away day to Sheffield and ride back to Belper. Although it looked wet at the station we luckily had a dry ride back. Once out of Sheffield on to the TPT through Rother Valley and on to Chesterfield canal. Impressive new lock and canal basin at Stavely. Refreshment stop at Katie’s Cafe on the canal ( being slightly annoyed by woman who couldn’t control her dogs). First thing, no picture at the Triangle. Eight of us out to Borrowash, Glenn easily catching up at Little Eaton, making 9. Couple of issues, I lost my front light at Milford corner, retrieved and still working,chain problem for one rider, sorted by Richard, lube on his hands instead of the usual paint. Great cafe as usual at Piptree and excellent company. Bonus on the return using all the Greenway to Kilburn. Great ride.

MTB THURSDAY 3 riders had an epic evening out in Ashover and Lumsdale with only a snapped chain mishap! Fixed that and carried on to more night riding fun! Then a quick pub stop on the Poets😀 Maybe Crich next week before it gets too muddy?
