On Sunday August 16th in Little Eaton, Derbyshire, England - We celebrate 80 years of making lightweight steel bicycles. We think that’s worth celebrating 🙌🏻 The event is held in collaboration with Belper Bicycle Club and is open to all. Rides for riders and bands, food and drink for everyone. Well folks, the Belper BC Charity Quiz took place last Saturday and was a sellout with No28 Community Hall packed to capacity. There was a good selection of raffle prizes to win and lots of tickets were sold. I’m delighted to say that the grand total raised for the club’s chosen charity, Blue Box Belper is £510 which is amazing. 16 riders (or so) out in two groups on the Windley loop. A lovely picturesque route with plenty of scope to take in the views of lots of expensive houses. Then back to Holly Bush to attempt to get beer. See you all next week.

No drama and some lovely group riding from my group, just some good conversation on the quiet lanes, oh and "we were here first" 😄 I hear Maxine caused a bit of a commotion in the other group, not totally sure what went on there, all I know is they're a bunch of rule breakers 😉

Two groups went on a hilly ride to Stretton Cafe

Interesting ride out today going out to cafe stop was fine however after cafe became a nightmare. Trying out some new bridleways that turned out to be very overgrown and obviously not used for years!! 3 punctures later we decided to abandon remainder of route and go back via road. A further puncture for me on Wirksworth road and we all made our own way home. Better luck next time 🤞 Other than that it was good to see Ian and Richard out and as usual good company on the ride.

5 riders went on a loop around the Edges and Blacka Moor, enjoying the surprisingly quiet evening. Then to finish a cheeky one at The Grouse Inn! #belperbc

14 riders out tonight taking on the Summer Special challenge in wet conditions. We started in 2 groups but that soon splintered into multiple groups with the last group arriving back in Belper at 9.20! The final total was 28 miles and 3400 ft of climbing. See you all next year.
