Sunday club ride

Well it was lovely to be out riding in the sun with you all today. 11 of us headed to Denstone but not Denstone, instead stopping at Sweet Retreats in Rocester who fuelled us up with a selection of cobs and cakes.

A few valuable lessons were learnt today. Firstly, if you loose your glasses, check the inside of your helmet. Second, listen to Jane. Mr Chairman learnt the second the hard way. Early in the ride put his chain on the big ring in the big cog, forgetting this was a 2x. Jane said he shouldn’t do that. Unfortunately at the top of Cumberhills did the same again, breaking the derailleur hanger too.

Thankfully, Alex lives nearby and was able to provide a recovery service, I just hope the road side joining fee wasn’t too extortionate!
