SATURDAY CLUB RIDE

Oct 3
1 min read

What a beautiful day for a bike ride. 12 avid explorers set off, but only 11 would complete the course. So the quicker group set off, just 3 explorers struggling to find their way out of belper. The inters first climb of the day brought explorer Matt's ride to an abrupt end with a rear wheel issue that caused him some similar issues on Tuesday. The next highlight was the gravel path crossing over the river where a young lady grunting and snarling laid claim the the path and the bridge. A quick photo 📸 stop on the bridge for the team and then into the Melbourne tea room. Unfortunately the service was a little slow, with Rachel nearly missing out on her poached eggs 🥚. On the way back another couple of route issues with another gravel track and a Chairman detour through Mickleover and a slip road issue just up from Derby Uni. All together again after Adrian attempted a quick dash to Derby because his satnav said so, and finally on route back to the triangle 🔺️, a little stop at the Holy bush for a pint of Makeney was a great shout. Surely I have missed something but what a great ride. It was good to see Paul again and new member Charles both enjoying the ride. See you soon explorers. PS get booked in for the Spordax on the 17th October.
