Fabulous new route to Quackers Cafe which is located on the Thornbridge Estate. It was a super ride out which was enjoyed by the nine club riders with good representation from the men and ladies who largely stayed in one group and worked well together. It was a superb route, and although a little bit lumpy in places, gave full value for money as after the climbs there were some fabulous descents. The last big downhill (Sheldon) before the cafe stop was particulary memorable. Thank you to the mechanical expert trio (Paul, Richard and Ash) who managed to resolve a particularly tricky issue with a very wedged chain. (I owe you one!!). The cafe is excellent and along with the lovely food and drinks we enjoyed lots of laughs and banter. The ride back had a bit of everything and after turning towards Two Dales we rode parallel with the A6 climbing on the roads behind Matlock which are beautifully scenic and we eventually arrived at Holloway. The descent down Leashaw to the A6 is pretty amazing and after landing back at the Family Tree we chained it back to HQ. Thank you all for the fab company and not to mention beautiful scenery along the way.
