WORD RECORD ATTEMPT TRAINING 2
Cat and Richard took part in a very hot and windy century ride near Aylesbury today.
100 miles is the top goal for most penny farthing riders. Today 20 hardy souls set out at 6am to attempt this, only 9 achieved it in tough riding conditions. For Cat this is the biggest ride on penny by far so determination was the word for the day. Another step in the training ladder for Richard who is aiming at a 340 mile day very soon!

Richard has also set up a Just Giving page raising funds for Ashgate Hospice in memory of his wonderful and greatly missed sister Anne who sadly died of cancer last year.
Make a donation and in the comments have a
guess at how far he will get. The closest to the final distance will be receiving a Penny Farthing prize. Remember, he may not break the record, my final distance may be less than the current record.
As the track is booked for 24 hours he will also have a crack at the 24 hour record which is currently a mind boggling 339 miles.
